Home > Cottages > Croyde Country HouseJust minutes from the beach town of Croyde, Croyde Country House is an original Georgian property very near to the stunning Saunton Sands Beach and Baggy Point – a National Trust site with great walking, wildlife and scenery. A superb location for a beach and rural experience holiday.
The heart of the home is the wonderfully bright kitchen, full of natural light from the wall of windows above the sinks, and it comes full equipped with an array of modern amenities. With a large central island that doubles as a breakfast bar, this is the ideal space for getting plenty of chefs involved at meal times. A formal dining room will facilitate some proper quality meal times together, while your choice of an elegant drawing room or comfortable living room, provides plenty of entertaining space, with countless sofas and armchairs, a large TV and a warming fireplace.
There are five bedrooms, each with a countryside view and all of which reflect Georgian elegance thanks to their ornate bedframes, classic colour palettes and use of wooden furniture throughout. There’s one double bedroom on the ground floor, with one more double upstairs, as well as a master bedroom with a king-size bed and two twin rooms. Two of the rooms enjoy en-suite facilities, while there’s a full family bathroom upstairs, and as you enter the house, a vast wet room with two showers is designed with beach-lovers in mind, for you to rinse off the sand and sea-salt and get back in the action upon your return from the beach. From rain-showers to roll-top bathtubs, each bathroom provides a little piece of comfort and luxury.
When the sun is shining and fresh air beckons, there is an imposing multi-level and spacious terrace. Casual sofas and an alfresco dining table ensure you can soak up the sunshine in relaxation and enjoy suppers under the stars. A large lawn which encircles the garden is great for children.
With beautiful, long sandy beaches and endless surf-shops, this corner of North Devon is a super choice for those who like the outdoors, the fresh sea air and quaint streets lined with cafes. The nearby Baggy Point is a National Trust site with great walking, wildlife and scenery.
