Iris, St Ives Cottages

Iris can be found in the Downalong area of St Ives, surrounded by traditional fisherman’s cottages and artists’ studios.  Cobbled streets weave their way to glorious sandy beaches and the bustling harbour, where you can enjoy fish and chips looking out to sea or dip into the interesting shops and galleries that are peppered across the town.

Tucked away in arguably the most famous street in St Ives, Iris is a beautifully restored fisherman’s cottage full of character and unique features.
The cottage’s maritime history can be seen throughout with eye-catching wallpaper and the oar bannister adding a quirky touch.

Beautiful hand-crafted oak beams and an exposed stone wall give a nod to the building’s humble past which has been reimagined into a stylish open plan space for families and friends to reconnect after lazy days by the sea.  The flickering wood burner provides a toasty spot to spend relaxing evenings and the two inviting bedrooms offer a serene space for a peaceful night’s sleep.

The shared courtyard is a peaceful spot for an evening tipple before heading out to sample some of the local seafood delicacies.
