Cornwall
Home > Cottages > The Old DairyQuaint winding streets and beautiful scenery made famous by the long running television series, Doc Martin.
The Old Dairy is a characterful three bedroom home situated in Port Isaac. The village is a popular holiday destination in its own right with an historic fishing harbour and scenic coastal walks aplenty. Closely positioned to Rock and Daymer Bay, it is ideal for family holidays to the North coast of Cornwall where beach days and water sports are the order of the day.
Built in the 1930’s The Old Dairy retains many of its original features including stained glass windows on either side of the front door, original hardwood floorboards and bay windows. Three bedrooms provide ample room for up to seven guests and a sofa bed in the snug provides occasional sleeping for an additional guest. The whole property feels light and spacious and the decor is homely and welcoming with creature comforts and pretty furnishings throughout. You can enjoy relaxing on the comfy sofas in the lounge opposite the fireplace or catching up on a good book or two in the snug, while children get to enjoy their very own separate lounge area. There’s a well-equipped kitchen with lovely views over the village, and a large table with seating in the adjoining dining area that makes the preparing and sharing of family meals a truly sociable affair.
A large wrap-around garden with outdoor furniture makes a fantastic space for entertaining, while at the same time letting pets stretch their legs. The raised patio area enjoys views over Roscarrock Hill and is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee or to simply unwind in the fresh Cornish air.
