Home > Cottages > The White CottageThe White Cottage holds a fabulous location in the sleepy village of Shilton, just two miles from the idyllic town of Burford. It makes the perfect base for families wishing to explore the wonderful Cotswolds with a wide range of the most popular towns, villages and attractions just a short car journey away.
The cottage has been beautifully and sympathetically upgraded and now boasts stylish interiors and furnishings while still retaining its original character and charm, with beamed ceilings and a cosy inglenook fireplace. The neutral colour scheme used throughout helps to create a relaxed feel, fantastic for those guests wishing to truly escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy this tranquil home. On the ground floor is the main living accommodation, comprising two living rooms, a dining room and a modern fitted kitchen boasting all the amenities a keen chef could need. Heading upstairs, guests will find four well-appointed double bedrooms and two luxurious family bathrooms.
Outside, the secluded garden offers a lovely view over the adjoining meadow. The terrace makes the perfect quiet spot to enjoy your morning coffee or spend a sunny evening dining al fresco with the whole family.
The owners have won a number of awards for their responsible, ethical and sustainable approach to tourism, from insulating the properties, installing underfloor heating, LED lighting, purchasing green electricity to composting and recycling.
* Please note that it is possible to accommodate up to 10 guests, by two guests making use of the double sofa bed in the garden lounge. Guests using this room can make use of the ground floor shower room. Extra bed linen will be provided.
