This world-class haven provides the ultimate in luxurious relaxation. Dubbed Cornwall’s leading destination spa, St Michaels Spa offers the best in therapeutic bliss. The hydrotherapy pool, Finnish herbal sauna and steam rooms, one of which is a Cornish sea salt steam room, leave you refreshed, while expert therapists offer bespoke treatments from head to toe. Outside, explore the stunning spa garden where you’ll find a cedar hot tub and Finnish barrel sauna, which you can enjoy while soaking up the spectacular sea views.
Gyllyngvase Beach offers far more than enjoyable sea views. Just moments away from the resort, with its soft, golden sand and mild climate, this picturesque bay is glorious from season to season.
Awarded Blue Flag status, Gyllyngvase Beach provides entertainment for all ages, with coastal walks and romantic strolls to rock pooling and adventurous water sports. Summer months give even more opportunity to get active, with a timetable of outdoor classes by St Michaels Health Club to try.
Originally built in the 1920s as a private residence with gardens leading to the sea, St Michaels first became a hotel in 1940 before providing support with the war effort. Hotel services resumed after the war, and the hotel has flourished thanks to passionate owners over the years, eventually becoming Cornwall’s Hotel of the Year, promoted to four AA Stars and given two Rosettes for food in 2009. In 2018, after a £50 million investment, St Michaels became a resort with a brand-new spa and two new restaurants. Today, the resort continues to provide guests from all over the world with a relaxed environment to unwind and enjoy the very best of Cornish hospitality.
